Dear Friends,

Hope you were able to make it to the Bake Sale last November.  It is always a fun and flavorful occasion. That seems like a long time ago with spring bursting on the scene. We want to invite you to come out and visit with Friends of Wirtanen Pioneer Farm on Sunday April 19th at 3 pm for the Annual Meeting.

Pam Brunfelt will be our guest speaker at the Colvin Town Hall on Hwy 4 in Markham, MN. She will present “Dark Days, Hope, and the New Deal at the Grass Roots”. The Great Depression devastated people’s lives all over Minnesota. The effects of the economic crash led to massive unemployment on the Iron Range. The stories of the Iron Range and Otter Tail County are highlighted in this program, but the impact of the New Deal was the same all over the state.

There will be lunch in the Finnish Tradition following the meeting.
